We take zero percent of your job

This is the part worth reading twice, because it’s where most platforms in this category get you.

  • The engine hands you cost.

Real materials, real labor, adjusted for your region. What you put on top of that is your markup, it’s your business, and it is none of ours.

  • We never take a piece of a job.

Not a percentage, not a lead fee, not a “success fee.” You pay a flat monthly number and that’s the entire commercial relationship.

  • And your price wins.

Type in what you actually pay for a bundle of shingles and that number stands from then on — permanently, through every update and every price refresh. The database physically refuses to overwrite a price you’ve ruled. That isn’t a policy we’re nice about, it’s code.

What it costs to keep doing it the old way

Say you land one extra job a month because you got the number back the same day instead of Thursday.

You already know what your average job is worth. Put that against $99 and the arithmetic isn’t close.

Now put it against the evenings. Thirty years in, I lost more jobs to paperwork than I ever lost to being outbid — not to pricing, not to being too expensive. To not sitting down and typing it up.

Early adopters

We’re hand-installing InstaBid for a small group of working contractors.

  • Ninety days free, no card.

The whole platform, every trade, the full close.

  • Then $49 a month, and that price doesn’t go up as long as you keep using it.

That’s $49 for the same bundle everyone else pays $499 for.

  • Straight about the one condition:

stay with us and the price holds. Let the account lapse and come back later, you rejoin at whatever it costs then. I’d rather say that now than argue about it in two years.

  • It isn’t free — the price is your feedback.

Four calls, fifteen to thirty minutes each: one in your first few days, then at 30, 60 and 90 days. Tell me what’s confusing, what’s wrong for your market, where it wasted your time instead of saving it.

About the number of spots

There’s a limit and I’m not going to tell you what it is.

No countdown timer. No “3 spots left.” That stuff is a lie almost every time somebody puts it on a website, and if I’d lie to you about that you’d be right to wonder what else.

Seats are limited because I’m installing these by hand and there are only so many hours. When they’re full, we’ll just say so.

Questions people actually ask

  • Is there a setup fee?

No. On the early-adopter program we do the install for you.

  • What happens to my prices if I leave?

They were always yours. You take your pricebook and your supplier relationships with you, because they were never ours to hold.

  • Do you sell my leads?

No. We’re not a lead-gen company and we never will be — the whole point is that the customer is yours.

  • Can I change tiers?

    Any time, from the dashboard.
